Sheepskin Seat Covers

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

This article is meant for those of you out there that spend long hours behind the wheel and on the road, whether it’s because you’re a professional long-haul driver or you just have an extra long commute to and from work every day. Regardless of your position, if you do a lot of driving, this article is for you.

If you’re not aware of them yet, you need to get to know sheepskin seat cover because they will make your driving life a whole heck of a lot better for you. Sheepskin is a natural fabric that is a very high density fiber. Because of this, it creates a thick, firm, yet forgiving cushion between you and your car or truck (or motorcycle) seat, making for an ultra plush and comfortable ride. Having had back problems for as long as I can remember, just the thought of a drive of over an hour would have me wiggling in my seat, trying to find a comfortable position. The fact that I was driving all day, even though I was constantly getting in and out of my truck made for a very miserable work life (not to mention ‘other than work’ life, too). What changed it all for me was when a friend told me about a very easy and inexpensive solution to my problem. I was all ears!

Sheepskin seat covers are used by commercial airline pilots, long-haul truckers, and even in hospitals when someone is bed-ridden for extended periods of time. Some people find them so comfortable, they compare them to getting a massage! Another benefit, besides just the cushioning aspects of sheepskin seat covers, is the fact that in the summer, when you legs might otherwise sweat and stick to the car seat, you’ll be perfectly comfortable sitting on these babies. And in the winter, when it’s freezing cold out and other people are either sitting on ice cold vinyl or leather seats or investing in heated seat covers, you’ll be perfectly comfortable and cozy with just your sheepskin covers beneath you.
